Why Renaissance Man? Had to look it up the first time I was called that, but it's probably pretty accurate. Along with it, you get a bundle of fun (mostly) contradictions. Ridiculously well-educated (three degrees), but have been known to shoot pool with Hell's Angels, and win cash, and walk away with skin intact. Drive a Jeep Wrangler, but also a Jag sedan (one white, one black -- of course!). And a pickup truck! Been to State Department dinners, but would as soon dine at a campfire cookout. Enjoy relaxed sports like golf and bowling, but also am a nut about skiing, snowboarding, and long-distance biking. Self-employed & make good money, but prefer to socialize with those who don't (they're MUCH more fun!). Retired senior Naval officer, so predictably conservative on most national security issues, but a committed liberal on nearly all social issues. Love shooting, but hate hunting. Serious as hell in my professional life, but quite the opposite in my social life, where fun rules. And as my headline implies, I'm intensely oral, giving far more than getting. So if you're good with that, we should play very well together! Usually guessed a full twenty years younger than I actually am. And yes, I am a few years beyond what the profile says! Also Note: Only the first photo is current (less than a year old). I'm now 10 lbs lighter and wear my hair shorter. The other two photos are six and seven yrs old respectively.
